The Long Road

Patch 08-14

Your card said this line is a line of mages, then rolled dice on whether it meant it. It doesn't roll anymore.

  • A card's bloodline promise always crosses now. The pink spark — a season, a class or a race — used to roll 15/30/50 at the ceremony and mostly lost. It crosses every run now, grandparents included. ARM/SPD sparks and the gear echoes are the only slots luck still decides.
  • Its stars are party members, not odds. A 3★ warrior card reads Counts as three more Warriors and seats three of them at the synergy table. One catch worth knowing: a spark naming a class nobody in your party fields does nothing — the head needs a body to land on.
  • The synergy ladder was rebuilt to hold them. One rung per head, five at most: ×1.05 / 1.10 / 1.20 / 1.35 / 1.55. A lone hero finally carries a little of their own line, and the top rung wants a real stack and a matching card.
  • Grandparents keep their word too, at half. Half the season ATK, heads halved and rounded up so an ancestor is never worth nothing. Two cards naming the same class stack now, where one of them used to be dropped.
  • The Dreaming Fire lost its pink line. Nothing left there to retry.

The bill is on that ladder: three of a kind used to be ×1.5 and is ×1.20, so a party built three-of-a-kind lost real power, and only an inherited card buys it back. Cards you sealed yesterday get the new rule for free — the stars were already written on them.
